Formulation Tip for Makers

Because lavender powder is a botanical powder rather than a soluble ingredient, it will remain suspended or dispersed in the finished product rather than dissolving completely in water. In emulsions and other water-containing products, makers should consider appropriate preservation and conduct stability and microbial testing.

Important: Lavender powder is not the same as lavender essential oil. The powder does not provide the same concentrated fragrance or properties as lavender essential oil, and its natural aroma may vary depending on the processing and storage of the botanical.
