Phenonip is a powerful broad-spectrum preservative used to protect cosmetic and personal care products from bacteria, mold, and yeast. Ideal for formulations that contain water or may be exposed to moisture (such as lotions, creams, scrubs, and emulsions), Phenonip ensures your handmade products stay fresh and safe for longer.

Key Features:

• Effective against bacteria, mold, and yeast

• Suitable for oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions

• Works in products with a pH range of 3.0–8.0

• Effective at low usage levels: 0.5% to 1.0%

• Heat stable – add during the cool-down phase under 60°C if possible

Recommended For:

• Lotions & creams

• Body butters (with water phase)

• Sugar/salt scrubs (if water is present)

• Rinse-off and leave-on products

Not Recommended For:

• Products marketed as paraben-free

• Anhydrous (water-free) products that won’t come in contact with water

Usage Guidelines:

• Usage rate: 0.5%–1.0% of the total formulation

• Add to the oil phase or at cool-down (under 60°C) for best results

• Soluble in oil and alcohol, not water

Storage & Shelf Life:

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

• Shelf life: 2 years (unopened)
