Description
Coco Glucoside for Soap & Cleansing Products
Coco Glucoside is a mild, plant-derived surfactant made from coconut-derived fatty alcohols and glucose. It is especially useful for makers creating liquid soaps, body washes, facial cleansers, shampoos, hand washes, and foaming products, where it provides gentle cleansing and helps create a soft, creamy lather.
For liquid soap and cleansing formulations, Coco Glucoside can be used on its own or combined with other surfactants such as Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, or Cocamidopropyl Betaine to improve the overall cleansing, foam, and skin feel.
Suggested usage rates:
- Liquid soaps/hand washes: 10–30%
- Body washes: 10–30%
- Facial cleansers: 5–15%
- Shampoos: 5–20%
- Foaming cleansers: 5–20%
- Bubble baths: 10–25%
Important: Coco Glucoside is primarily suited to liquid and surfactant-based soap formulations rather than traditional cold-process or hot-process soap, where oils are chemically saponified with lye. Always check the specifications of your particular Coco Glucoside, as concentration and active matter can vary between suppliers.
